My name is Dulce Aguirre. I’m 24 years old and I’m currently a student as well as the General Manager at Border Angels and the Youth Program Coordinator at the Sherman Heights Community Center. I was born in Tijuana Baja California and migrated to the united states when I was 9 years old. I have always been very passionate in making a difference in my community and helping the people around me. Luckily having these two jobs have given me the opportunity to succeed in truly making a difference in people’s lives in a daily bases. As a migrant myself I have always admire the great work that Border Angels does in providing a voice to those that sometimes do not have one just like myself. It has been truly an honor to continue to be part of this amazing organization that is build by incredible volunteers that believe in human rights, a humane immigration reform and that no human being is illegal.
