The Caravan of Love was a service that sought to aid migrant asylum seekers who arrive in Tijuana as part of the Central American caravan. There are thousands of men, women and children who are left to deal with the harsh conditions that they encounter at the border. As a result of MPP (Migrant Protection Protocols) individuals seeking asylum have been forced to "remain in Mexico" for the duration of their process. This means that families have been forced to stay in Tijuana with no government assistance. Since the beginning of COVID-19, Title 42 expulsions have also contributed to thousands of immediate deportations to migrants and asylum seekers. As a result to this humanitarian crisis, dozens of shelters house migrants in Tijuana and are in dire need of assistance and depend on our donations. Through our Caravan of Love, volunteers help by providing donations and helping to drive and distribute the donations at the more than one dozen shelters Border Angels supports.
