Fabiola Navarro Green Cards For Kids Program Attorney
Fabiola Navarro obtained her Master in Law Degree from University of Valparaiso, Chile. She has been a licensed Chilean attorney since August 2002. She worked for the INP, a Chilean government institution and for the Legal Aid Society of Valparaiso.
She moved to the U.S, and after completing her ESL studies and several College General Education courses, she worked as a paralegal at the Personal Injury law firm of Ravid and Associates, P.C, Southfield, Michigan, (2004-05). Later, she moved to San Diego, CA and rendered legal services for the Immigration Law Firm of Lilia Velasquez in 2006.
She is a Licensed Attorney in CA, and worked as the Immigration Attorney for the Employee Right Center from 06/ 2012 to 07/2014. Also, she has been a member of AILA since August 2012.
Fabiola is passionate about working for her community and in promoting human rights. She has been a volunteer for different organizations. In addition to her 7 years of volunteer work at the Joan B. Kroc Institute for Peace & Justice, she has been a member of Amnesty International, a Board Member of the International Museum of Human Rights of San Diego and also a volunteer attorney for the Community Law Project of Calwestern School of Law, La Maestra Community Center and Alliance San Diego.
She was a delegate for San Diego to the 57th and 59th United Nations Commission on the Status of Women. She has presented on Humanitarian Visas at the II Ibero-American Summit in Aguascalientes, Mexico (II Cumbre Iberoamerica), and was also a speaker at the Annual Diversity Day for the Navy Regional Plant Equipment Office, where she was recognized for her accomplishments with the Bravo Zulu Coin.
In 2013, she was awarded by KPBS with the Local Hero Award of the Hispanic American Heritage month for being a Human Rights and Immigration activist.
In September 2014, she opened her solo practice, Law Office of Fabiola A. Navarro.
