BORDER ANGELS condemns the violent events occurring in our Nation’s Capital – they constitute insurrection and sedition, pure and simple. Our nation’s bedrock, time honored constitutional tradition of the ‘peaceful transfer of power’ is being trampled on, directed clearly and unambiguously by President Trump – the official most entrusted to “preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States.”
The photos and videos of the unlawful taking of Congress, delaying the certification of President-Elect Joe Biden’s lawful election will haunt our nation forever. They stand as chilling evidence of what can happen when a president seeks to remain in power, no matter the cost to our democracy.
BORDER ANGELS’ mission is grounded in love and calls for everyone—no matter their political party — to stand united against hate and rhetoric that seeks to pit us against each other. Therefore, BORDER ÁNGELS calls on the government and law enforcement to immediately reinstate the rule of law in the Capital and to hold accountable all who have participated – directly or indirectly – in its violent occupation. History and the world is watching.
