We did it again, we freed another person from detention, and it’s all thanks to YOU! Meet Bilal, a Mauritanian asylum seeker who has been in Imperial Valley Regional Detention Center for four months. He is 19 years old and the youngest person we have bonded out to date. It pains us to know at his young age has had to go through the horrors of detention amidst a global pandemic, but we are hopeful for his future and new beginning in Philadelphia.
In sharing every story, and posting every bond, it is our hope that we will all learn to welcome instead of to fear. We remind you to always lead with love and kindness, for that is how we will help fight racist and inhumane policies. We must always raise our voice to help accept those who so desperately need us, and who have come to this country asking for acceptance. It is up to all of us! We thank you for your continued support, and once again ask for your help to save lives. Our bond funds are running low and we need your support more than ever in order to free our folks. All donations make a difference no matter the amount, and every dollar is spent towards getting someone out of detention! Help us #freethemall!
