We successfully freed another person from detention through our Families Reunidas Bond Program, Eduardo! He is a 22 year old Nicaraguan asylum seeker who was in detention for 2 months. He was detained in Imperial Valley Regional Detention center, another facility with confirmed cases and blatant disregard for COVID safety guidelines.
As is the case with all individuals, we are frustrated yet happy to get one more person out of these negligent detention prisons. We cannot stress enough the urgency of bonding people out, as we have now seen 21 confirmed deaths in ICE custody. Eduardo is now headed to Miami to begin a new chapter in life with his father and sponsor.
We need YOUR help to save lives! Eduardo may be one of the last bonds we post in a while. Our bond funds are running low and we need your support more than ever in order to free our folks. All donations make a difference no matter the amount, and every dollar is spent towards getting someone out of detention!
