We covered a lot of ground this past weekend. We visited three areas over two days. We climbed dry waterfalls, did some bouldering, and went low through some tunnels. All of that is needed to get the supplies to where they are needed the most right now.
Thank you to everyone on our team for all the hard work, so that we may be as efficient as possible while our time is spent in the desert. While out this weekend, we removed over 70lbs of trash from the desert! No matter the weather, nor how extreme the temperatures get, we have not, and will never leave the desert. As long as people are crossing through, we’ll be there. The temperatures are still expected to reach up to 115° in some areas, so we are still only taking experienced Water Drop volunteers for the time being. Thank you all for your patience. As soon as we can safely take new volunteers we will. For the meanwhile, sharing posts and making donations allow us to continue our work, and be efficient as possible. For any questions about Water Drops or our Water Drops during Covid, reach out to Water Drop Program Co-Director James Cordero, james@borderangels.org. Thank you for your continued support!
